We have quite a team who have come together to take us through the process of building our Toolkits in a Day on the 21st June. Let me introduce you, in no particular order:
Deb is a keen advocate of social media for learning. A Senior Academic Developer at Swansea University and open practitioner she also undertakes several volunteer community roles that revolve around social media for learning including #LTHEchat, #BYOD4L and #creativeHE. She is also currently in the second year of a PhD in E Research and Technology Enhanced Learning.

Graham is a Senior Learning Technologist at The University of Sheffield’s Technology Enhanced Learning Team, who were winners of the ALT “Technology Enhanced Learning Team of the Year” award for 2017. Graham has a long track record as an educational video and multimedia producer. Graham has a keen interest in student generated media, alongside support public engagement and research dissemination at the University. He also leads the White Rose Learning Technologists’ forum, and has worked alongside Andrew and Alex supporting MELSIG since its early years.

Sue is a Principal Lecturer and LTA Lead for Computing at Sheffield Hallam University. She is passionate about the use of social media for learning in higher education and finding news ways to help students develop confident interpersonal skills. Blog: https://socialmediaforlearning.com/

Suzanne is passionate about digital engagement using social media and digital tools in teaching and learning in HE. Suzanne is a Teaching Fellow in Prosthetics and Orthotics at the National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. She participates in several online communities having an organisational role within #LTHEchat and #BYOD4L. She is a regular active participant of the #LTHEchat and #HEAchat, she is also active within the #StrathTechEd community actively promoting #StrathPlayfulLearning and the fantastic work of the #StrathTechEd community. Suzanne LOVES to chat about her use of Snapchat as a tutorial tool to anyone who will listen 🙂 Shs is a keen triathlete, having just completed the Isle of Bute and Stirling Sprint Triathlon.

Alex is a Learning Technology Developer at the University of Liverpool. He has worked in higher education for over 15 years in a variety of institutions across the country. He leads the ALT North West England SIG and has been involved in MELSIG since the very early years of PPPSIG. He is passionate about the use of social media in higher education, developing digital skills, mobile technologies for learning and music….all kinds of music.
Alex will be co-leading the development of the Podcasting for Pedagogic Purposes Toolkit.
I am an Academic Developer in Digital Enhanced Learning at London South Bank University. Previously I was Learning Technology Manager at Regent’s University in London, a Lecturer in Economics (1990- 2005) and a Lecturer in Education (2005-2010) at the University Centre Croydon. Currently, I am doing a Doctorate in Education at the Institute of Education, UCL. I live in Camberwell and I’m interested in things to do with cycling, photography, travel, politics and London.

Andrew leads MELSIG and has a longstanding commitment to exploring digital and social media in higher education. He is a National Teaching Fellow and is researching ideas about studio-based pedagogy and learning through co-creation. He ran the LTA in HE podcast for many years and aspires to relaunch it! Currently, Andrew is fascinated by walking and Instagram. Like others here, being in bands and co-production of media are in my blood!
